Gee you guys are quick on the trigger!!
The reason i posted the article in the genersal diss. is because i was respondong to your post about recycling plastic bottles,and using a glass or stainless steel container instead.
I guess you could say that an article on the envirnoment , IS POLITICAL??
I sent the article to you ,for your information, giving you an idea of how far we have come from thinking plastic bottles.

The whole reason for me posting this article as well as the discusssion on
Citizen Central was to provide the Grateful Dead community a way of connecting with other like-minded people to collectively make quick changes to the policies of this country.
I thought that the fact that The Dead supported obama in the election, and Bobby was involved with voter registration, SIGNALED THAT THE FACT, THE DEAD FOR THE FIRST TIME IN THEIR COLECTIVE HISTORY,
ENDORSED A POLITICAL CANDIDATE, IMPLIED THAT WE WERE AT THE SHIT HITTING THE FAN TIME IN OUR COUNTRY AND IN THE WORLD AND WE HAD TO GET INVOLVED.
The Dead were always for social justice, and provided their charities with the means to effect positive changes for humanity.
The first group the dead were associated with was The Seva foundation
in the seventies.

Anyway, after fifty years of doing random acts of kindness 24/7, during the periods I was awake (had my times when the best i could do was to
keep my personal suffering within myself so that people would not lose energy that could go to someone else) I got some inspiration and Citizen Central was born.
Since my personal reality, is that I am a visitor to this Universe from another Universe. No matter what happens to this planet, we The Tribe "know where were going cause we know where were from", "our job is to shed light not to master"
And I'm begining to feel like Bilbo, time to retire, grow a garden, and che'

Good morning Kindred Spirits,
Lets assume that we are in the midst of a paradigm shift.
In terms of the environment, global population, current food availability and distribution, water resources and its planetary distribution and the devolution of our consumer capitalistic economic system, most people would concur that we are in the midst of a paradigm shift.
We are also in a societal paradigm shift affecting the population of the planet.
We have two choices, either we let the paradigm proceed of its own accord and civilization deal with whatever comes, or civilization consciously designs the societal paradigm response to the global paradigm that is emerging.
There is a huge disparity between the needs of civilization, and the direction the environment is evolving in providing for these needs. If we don’t correct the imbalance between civilization and the environment we will reach a point of no return, which will entail catastrophic environmental shifts reducing the survivability of humanity.
Citizen Central (the citizens of America) choose to design our paradigm shift, with the hope that the rest of the world
is assisting in this design.

Okay the general premise has been stated, now to the nuts and bolts step by step journey to manifestation.
Before we begin this journey, to avoid the charge of plagiarism, I must confess that what is being presented is a compilation of the dedicated work of many individuals present and past who labored selflessly to make this a better world .It is because of these individuals that we have the tools to design the paradigm .I want to take this opportunity
to thank ,honor, and never forget those that came before.

Hopefully a majority of Americans feel a disconnect between the reality we assumed we were living, and the actual reality we are awakening to.
We assumed that our elected representatives were acting in the best interests of the citizens they represented.
We assumed that businesses and esteemed corporations acted in the best interests of the consumers who consumed their products and to their employees who labored to make these services and products.
We assumed that our financial institutions were beyond reproach, that banks and the stock market were honest brokers in our interactions, and if they weren’t, we had the various governmental agencies that were created to insure the integrity of these institutions.
We assumed that our judicial system was the best in the world, we were a country of laws that applied equally to all.,
That truth and justice were the ultimate aims of the courts.
We assumed that law enforcement, especially the F.B.I. and the C.I.A.were the cats ass, these guys were the real McCoy they were incorruptible they looked out for their citizens best interest.
We assumed that the President of the United States would never send our sons and daughters to war, and risk their lives under false pretense. Things like this just did not happen with our President.
We assumed the foreign policy of our country reflected our values, that we were honest brokers in resolving conflicts,
that we supported governments that gave to their citizens what our government gave to us.
We assumed that our education system, healthcare system, social systems were the best in the world. We were told this millions of times.
We trusted our news media to tell us the truth in an unbiased way. We believed the chants that our media had a liberal bias, in fact we adopted a new phrase, the liberal media, and we heard it over and over again, so that the most liberal amongst us believed the phrase.

We (the citizens of America) believed so easily in these assumptions and the resulting illusion of reality, because these traits were in the heart of most Americans. We the citizens of this country just assumed that the systems were a reflection of ourselves honest ,hardworking, fair, willing to give a guy a break, we trusted our religious, political, business institutions because that’s the way we were we could not imagine anything else.

Lest we FORGET, let’s take a walk down memory lane.
After World War Two, America found itself in the enviable position of having come through the war without a scratch
(except for those noble men and woman that gave their lives defending this country. We will never forget your sacrifice. This was the last war that was fought defending freedom, every war since, lives were lost in vain), there are other things we should ask ourselves in retrospect, we are constantly reminded of the six million Jews that were killed, there were also three million Polish Citizens killed, all those that had physical or mental disabilities were rounded up and killed, all the Roma (Gypsies) were killed , I think its time to mourn their deaths also, and include these other eight million souls in the holocaust. Should we not also ask ourselves where were the Christian leaders during this annihilation, why didn’t the allies bomb these death chambers, or at least the rail lines to these camps. And the most perplexing question to me is, back sometime in Clintons second term, there must have been something in the air, Clinton and the pope made some half ass attempt to apologize to the world for crimes against humanity done by the U.S. and the catholic church respectively., but in an interview with the chief rabbi of Israel, the chief rabbi said and I quote, “maybe the Jews that died in the holocaust deserved to die” . the next day a statement was issued for the chief rabbi , saying that he was misquoted .
The reason I mention these things now is that the significance of these incidents will be associated later in our discussion.
Getting back to the end of the war, America came through the war to be the economic and military leaders of the free world. The G.I. Bill gave thousands and thousands of returning vets the oppuritunity for an education. The country began its migration from a rural to cosmopolitan society. The American Dream WAS BORN. The technological advances that were discovered during the war made their way through the system and became new things to buy.
Prosperity was available to the masses. Technology was the new industrial revolution.
However the celebration dimmed in the fifties, the cold war had begun, we began to have air raid drills, and air raid shelters to go to, the threat of nuclear war a constant companion to those growing up in the fifties, twice a year the sky would be filled with all kinds of planes flying in formation for almost an hour, we had to defend against the Bear
and its totalitarian communist system. The birth of the military industrial complex had arrived. President Eisenhower’s famous last words BEWARE OF THE MILITARY INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX. still reverberates in our ears.

I would like to digress at this point and offer some “educated speculation” to consider. While this is speculation, the scenario being described is too conspiratorial to be considered for rigorous consideration, I offer it as “educated speculation”.
While, when most people reflect on the European conflagration (World War Two) Hitler is associated as being the prim villain. in reality we know that the real villains were those that financed the endeavor. So what became of these villainess, among other things, financiers. Did they just materialize during that generation, or have they been with us during previous generations? Do they still exist, and their protégées exist in this generation? My answer is why not!

Can we (for the sake of simple communal associative cognitive jargon) call these villains, EVIL, without rising too many hairs on the backs of some emotionally triggered necks?
Now being this evil, and having seen my investment (for whatever reason one would want to cause this pain and suffering is beyond me) turn to hell,(excuse the pun) would I pick up my marbles and go home, or would I have already seen the writing on the wall ,and chosen the next place to continue this ancient quest of world enslavement.
The likelihood of me going home is slim to none, especially having been at it so long, and having learned the lessons of this failure, while being so close. If only that idiot hittler had waited on Russia, we could have supplied rammel in the desert, got the fuel to continue our expansion, and picked up a few more allies , while in two months have perfected the V2 rockets, and in six months the BOMB, Russia would have been annihilated the world would have been mine, or excuse me ours, ha ha .
I have chosen the perfect spot to set up shop, America, they with their childish belief in Freedom Justice it will be poetic justice to destroy them. First I will have them invite me in with open arms, they want the rocket technology, they want my nuclear technology, what better place for me, to be part of their weapons of mass destruction industry, I shall have the title of military industrial complex. I will create the illusion that Russia has the same capabilities, and have them mutually destroy each other.
The plan is in motion; I could never have thought that with fifty billion dollars I could buy the senate and congress of the United States as well as their banking system and corporations, of course everything is for sale in America, they have all sold their asses to me.

Fast forward to the present, the reality that is appearing to us, the citizens of America.
Most of the politicians, except for a few noble exceptions, have sold their asses for one thing or the other .Money , religion, power, the opportunity to diddle with children, whatever your weakness is you were bought.
When the republican insect repellant, aka the hammer,( just the way he walked in his Napoleonic bounce made me puke) the RESPECTED AND FEARED ADHOC LEADER OF THE HOUSE, to which every fucking congressperson in the house bent over in respectful subjugation and took it in the ass.
Can you imagine the level of abject ignorance and depravity each congressperson has to be, to have put up with his majestic dick for almost eight years. And they have the balls to pass judgment, enact laws that imprison citizen for almost their entire life, because these citizens choose to ingest specific substances, that such noble sultans of industry such as Adolph hittler , I mean coors, and the current incarnation of jesus christ , of the satin incarnate tribe the billionaire with the dick that congress likes to suck in private, I give you citizens of America, the one and only revvvv mooooooon. Who are our distinguished members of the adult mickey mouse club PARTNERSHIP FOR A DRUG FREE AMERICA.

If a cop pulls you by the arm, and you pull away, assaulting a police officer. And every asshole politician is scared shit to fuck with the police union , so the police create this gravy train of details . you want to look in a manhole you need two cops , to direct traffic. You want to legalize drugs, every union in the country talks about the threat to public safety, they don ’t want to give up the easy bust, loose cash for themselves or their organization. If anyone was offended by my choice of words, I would venture to say that sixty percent of the population communicates using these words.

Don't you think in fairness to the person flaged, a reason should be given ?
Now I can't log onto the site , what is that all about.
