Considering what Phil has been up against, these last few years, I think he'd
probably insist on having Adrenaline, Serotonin and Endorphine as the only chemicals tolerated at the gigs.

Apropos of something, possibly, I can't get to their website. Keep getting those wacky Firefox full page errors. Crying or Very sad

Peace!

(Despite having a rotten day, I haven't had a drink! Very Happy )

I'm sure he'd be OK with motrin & geritol as well . . . .

I'm sure if you go to the Phil shows you'll find some sober heads, I saw my first sober show last Oct, Phil & Freinds at Nokia theater NYC and had a blast.

My love and respect go to all Wharf Rats. I worked the program for 2 years. I took what I needed from it and am a MUCH better person for it.

Keep up the good work!

Without love in a dream it will never come true

In the last 15 years of sobriety for me dead shows and jam band shows in general were hard to get through without alcohol and other methods of getting numb but one way or another i learned how to have fun without it... and yes when the going got tough i had my bad days when i thought that's it i need a shot of whiskey... i meditated and concentrated on something else and it sooner or later it passed. and one of the more important things i learned how to do is BREATHE! sometimes its just the air that you breathe that's a high in itself... serenity now Very Happy

I haven't been to a show sober yet but I just had my first sober birthday since I was a kid. I just turned 36 and have 4 months away from weed and booze and 7 years off the Heroine and coke. Things arre finally beginning to look up. I had no idea how much work is involved after putting it all down. Everyone tells me that it get's easier as you go on. All I can do at the moment though is listen to the music play. Thankfully the Dead doesn't trigger me up.

My son's birth was what did it for me. I had tried to quit my habits for a number of years but as long as i had the feedom to go where i wanted, when i wanted, with whomever i wanted I always got sucked back into it.

When my son came along my late nights of partying were gone. My son has a 7 o'clock bed time so by the time my old friends would be going out I was already tied down and unable to join them. It was a good excuse to not go out and even when i do go out my son is always on my mind.

Sure i miss many of my friends but I've moved on. I'll meet them for lunch, but my life certainly has changed, which is much for the better.
